Recently acclaimed, ‘Jazz Master’ by the National Endowment for the Arts, Kenny Barron’s prestigious career expands for more than 50 years. One of his first gigs was as a pianist with the Dizzy Gillespie quartet; it was in Gillespie’s band where Kenny developed an appreciation for Latin and Caribbean rhythms. Barron has been nominated nine times for Grammy Awards and for the American Jazz Hall of Fame.
